Closed Site "Gülle-Lagunen Lichterfelde"
The former manure disposal lagoons of a large pig farm in Lichterfelde near Eberswalde, northeast of Berlin, were closed in the early 1990s. The restoration of this 16 hectare large site included the disposal of the manure sludge, and partial filling of the lagoons. Under the proposed land use, restoration is currently being finalized. The lagoons will be filled, secured, and finally revegetated.
